The Gecko, Eagle, and Cheetah mask clips are one way for me to pay it forward. Mask fatigue is a significant problem, particularly for healthcare professionals using masks which use elastic loops around the ears. There's not much I can do about the global problems we all face, but I can use my design skills and user experience expertise to create something that will work well.
Gecko and Eagle are designed around the strengths and limitations of semi-rigid acrylic, specifically 1/8" cast acrylic. I am working on a separate design for flexible plastics such as Lucent and PETG.
Cheetah is designed around the strengths and limitations of Lucent flexible plastic.

A simple and reasonable commercial license is available.
Commercial entities who do not meet the terms of the Forever Free License can use the Simple Commercial License. License fees apply for any clips manufactured on or after August 1, 2020. The license fee is waived for the first 5,000 mask clips made after that date; a fee of US$0.05 per mask clip applies after that date. Discounts may be available in some situations (please contact me).
Clips made prior to August 1, 2020 are not counted against the fee waiver for the first 5,000 clips described above.
Commercial licensees must register using this form and report manufacturing totals and pay appropriate fees on a quarterly basis (monthly if making more than 5,000 clips per month). Registration is required even if your total production is fewer than the 5,000 clips which are not subject to fees.
A fee waiver is available if you are selling clips individually and you use the generated income to pay for mask clips which you donate to front line workers (including those in healthcare, food supply chain, and other essential services). Please contact me for more information.
Unless superseded, restrictions of the Free Forever License apply. These restrictions include that you may not make changes to the design, redistribute the design without providing the full package, or sell the designs or the design package.
